Cellma Update

As of 29th March 2021, the CAA have introduced a new medical records system (Cellma). From this date, you must complete the medical application form online PRIOR to your medical examination. The paper application form (Med 160) is no longer available.

In order to access Cellma, you must now have a CAA Customer Portal Account. You can apply here https://www.caa.co.uk/Our-work/About-us/Doing-business-with-the-CAA/Customer-portal/

Please note that it may take as long as 10 working days for your CAA customer account to be verified and approved. Once you account is verified, you can log in and complete the online medical application form.

You will also now be required to pay the CAA fee at the point of your online application. The fees are currently set at £16.31 for class 1 & 3 medical examinations and £9.78 for class 2 & LAPL medical examinations.

THE CAA HAVE CONFIRMED THAT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PORTAL ACCOUNT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS CELLMA AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UNDERGO A MEDICAL EXAMINATION.

Failure to comply with the CAA portal registration, complete the application online or pay the relevant fee will mean that your medical will be cancelled and rebooked at a later date. It cannot be done on the day of your medical. The usual last minute cancellation fees will apply.

Please note this applies to UK CAA class 1, 2, 3, LAPL medical examinations and self declarations only. Cabin crew medicals and FAA medicals remain unaffected.
